Summer Reading Project

The kids brought home a sheet on Thursday with the details of this small project. However, I'm going to post them here just in case...

This summer keep track of the book titles you read (not every single one but many of them). Come back in the fall ready to share these with us.

Accessing a sheet of poster board, use one half to share with us a sampling of the books you read over the summer and the other half to create a book recommendation about your favorite read.
Requirements:

·        Your name should be easy to find.

·        It should be very neat and very easy to read.

·        It should be organized in a way that helps the reader make sense of the information.

·        It should have some sort of graphics – either artistically created or printed from the computer.

·        The recommendation needs to provide the title of the book, the author, a thorough summary that doesn’t give away the ending, and an explanation for having chosen this book (why would others love reading it too?). You can write all this or type it on the computer, print it, and carefully paste it to the board. Just be sure the print is large enough to read from a short distance.

·        The whole board should look nice. We’ll present these to the class over the first few days of school and then put them up on the wall in and around our library.
