Homework: Monday, 9/26 - Monday, 10/3

1. Read each night.

2. On Tuesday interview someone at home about the upcoming presidential election. The interview will inquire into a single issue your family is paying  particular attention to this election cycle and what each of the candidates has to say about this issue. We'll use this data from home to begin a class chart showing similarities and differences between the candidate's beliefs. Our ultimate goal over the next six weeks is to understand how voters make their decisions as well as the presence of competing ideologies regarding the state of the country and the direction it should take.

3. Each morning the kids will have "Morning Work." This is generally a review of math concepts, math facts, or cursive practice. It takes about 10 minutes to complete most mornings before the kids move on to Explorations. Any incomplete Morning Work will come home to be completed before the next morning. I doubt you'll see any (much) of this coming home. If you do, you might ask your child why is wasn't finished in class.

Thanks,
Chris
