Hi, my name is Lexi Delcoco! I am a senior at the University
of South Carolina, and will be the student teacher intern in Dr. Hass’ class
this semester! I will be in the classroom all day on Wednesday and Thursday
each week, and every day for a two-week period in November. I have had so much
fun getting to know all of your children the past two weeks, and I am looking
forward to working with them throughout the rest of the semester!
I am originally from Calvert County, Maryland, which is about
25 minutes outside of Washington, DC. I am an only child, and will be the first
person in my immediate family to receive a college degree!
I have always loved children. In addition to working at a
summer camp, I worked as a teacher’s aide at Bright Beginnings Children’s
Center for five years. During this time, I was able to work with children of
all ages, from infants to sixth grade. Some of my other interests include travelling,
skiing, spending time with friends, reading, and cheerleading! I started
cheerleading at the age of 9, beginning on a recreational team, and then doing
all-star cheerleading until I graduated high school. I am so thankful that I
was able to continue my passion for cheerleading in college as a member of the
University of South Carolina all-girl cheer team! I am lucky enough to cheer
football and women’s basketball games, along with our own competition in April
(go cocks J)!
I am so grateful and excited for the experience to be in
your child’s classroom this semester, I can’t wait to see how all of them learn
and grow!
