Newsletter: Friday, November 6th

 Happy Friday, Everyone!

It was a short week so there's not a whole lot to update you on curricular-wise. A good bit of this week found us continuing our studies from last week while trying to figure out how best to navigate dual-modality so that everyone felt like they were getting the attention and support they need.

These kids have been so wonderful - in every way! I appreciate their patience and understanding as we learn, together, what works best and what doesn't. On Tuesday I asked them to share some reflections with me. Here's what they (and I) came up with.

Positives:

1. For those at school, seeing their friends again.

2. For those at school,  getting outside to play.

3. For those at home, having a longer break in the morning.

4. For Dr. Hass, being able to more easily see the work people are doing.

Challenges:

1. For those at home, getting Dr. Hass' attention when he's not at his computer.

2. For those at home, communicating with others.

3. For people at school, not being able to share on the computer without having a loud echo.

4. For people at school, wi-fi not working very well and getting kicked off.

5. For Dr. Hass, not being sure how to do many things at the same time and do them well.

6. For Dr. Hass, uncomfortable with the fact the nighttime cleaning crew didn't show up to clean or sanitize our classroom.

As is the case with anything new, we'll keep working each day to do better as we figure this out together. I want to thank you all so much for the many kind words you've passed along in the past few days and weeks. To end this short post, here are some pics of the kids at work and at play.
