Reading...
Homework this week is to read for enjoyment (20-30 minutes) each and every night. My hope is for the kids to be making purposeful selections (not just grabbing a book or two to "do" their reading) and to stick with a book until the end (other than the few times when one might abandon a book because it's too hard or not that interesting).

There is no other pre-planned homework this week. However, there might be a night or two when someone doesn't finish something in the classroom and I ask them to take it home to complete. This will not be posted on the blog or sent by email as it will differ from child-to-child. My goal for the kids this year is for them to take on the responsibility for these types of assignments. That said, I don't predict this will occur all that often.
