1. Read each night
2. On Thursday the kids will bring home a notebook in which they'll invite you to have a written conversation with them. The topic of the written conversation will be one we have been exploring in class. The kids should be well prepared to explain it to you. For new families, I'll provide you with an example of what a written conversation looks like.
3. A significant portion of the kids have not been keeping up with their daily in-class book log. Others have lost theirs. These students have been asked to complete a reading log at home this week to ensure we have a record of their books read. In the future, I'm hoping they'll be more diligent in keeping up with their book log and keep track of it.
