Few Updates

Dear Families,

First, I want to thank you all so, so much for the incredibly kind individual and class gifts you and your kids gave me just before the break. I couldn’t be any more appreciative of all ways you have supported me and the kids over the course of this year. This is a wonderful group of kids and families to work alongside!

Secondly, I’d like you to be aware that next week we will have a student teacher joining our classroom. Her name is Carla and she is a MAT (Masters of Art in Teaching) student at USC. Carla spent last semester in Mrs. Blake’s 4^th grade classroom and is very excited to be joining us for her long-term mentorship placement. Be sure to ask your kids about her next week.

Lastly, please note that our class will be hosting Gathering this month on Friday, January 26^th at 2:20. We actually already mapped it out before leaving for break to ensure once we returned we could fully focus our attention on new inquiries and engagements. The kids are working during this partial week to write their parts for the Gathering then we will stow it away for a few weeks until the time comes to share out with the school. We hope you can make it.
