This week we will be sharing our learning with you at our Gathering on Friday. It will begin at 2:20 and should last about 15 minutes. The kids will be talking about our author study of Jacqueline Woodson, all the things they've been learning in our writing workshop, and speak briefly about our CFI book of the month for January. We'll end with a song about Ruby Bridges. It should be a great time as well as very informative.
In the meantime, here is an introduction to the newest member of our classroom, Mrs. Goerlich.
Hello,
My name is Mrs. Carla Goerlich, MAT intern for Mr. Hass’ class.
I received my undergraduate degree in social work from Eastern Michigan
University. Afterward, I worked for 13 years in various state agencies with
both children and adults with developmental delays. My husband and our dog,
Whiskey, moved to South Carolina about six years ago from Livonia, Michigan. We
have been married for 13 years and Whiskey is 11 years old.
I decided to change my career to education because I love
children. I have learned a lot from my professors and colleagues and am excited
to be working with your children. I hope to have an opportunity to meet and
engage with you all during this final semester. Since
meeting them last week, your children have welcomed me into their learning
environment with open arms. I am honored to work with each of them.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Carla Goerlich
