Meet Ms. Crenshaw, Our New USC Intern!

Dear Parents,

My name is Kaylee Crenshaw. I am a senior at the University of South Carolina and I am the intern that will be working with your children throughout the upcoming semester! I have been looking forward to working with your children all summer! I will be in the classroom all day on Wednesday and Thursday each week, expect for two weeks in November. On those two weeks I will be in the classroom all day everyday!

I am originally from Augusta, GA, but I spent most of my childhood growing up in Aiken, SC. Both of my parents went to the USC, my father for chemical engineering and my mother to become a nurse anesthetist. I have one sister, named Emily, who is a junior in high school. Most people who meet us think that she is older than me due to her being 6’ 1” while I am only 5’ 10”.

I love working with children. Over this past summer I worked at a day care where I was in charge of all the second and third graders. In the past, I have also coached swim team for two summers. Other interests that I have include hiking, backpacking, dogs, traveling, kayaking (just purchased my first one!), and swimming. I have been a swimmer since I was a young kid. I was apart of the swim team until I graduated from high school.

I am so excited for the upcoming year and I cannot wait to see how all of the children learn and grow in and out of the classroom!
