Maniac Magee

On Tuesday we read a book called Maniac Magee by Jerry Spinelli. It is about a boy named Jeffery Magee who used to live with his aunt and uncle and ran away. Then he lived with the Beal's. When he lived at the Beal's home and neighborhood, people called him "Maniac Magee". He ran away that time, too. Now he lives with a man named Grayson in a baseball shed. Since Jeffery does not have an address, Jeffery painted the numbers "101" on the shed. Now he has an address. It is 101 Band Shell Boulevard. 

     Now Jeffery has found out Grayson does not know how to read. Jeffery is teaching him. Grayson has been getting better already! Grayson has already read The Little Engine That Could with little struggle. 

Now it's near Christmas and Jeffery and Grayson have been decorating like crazy! They have been decorating so much, they went to an evergreen tree outside and decorated it, other than the one inside!

I can't wait to see what happens next!!
