1. Nightly reading and log. This is due back next Monday.
2. This week there is an article coming home for you to read with your child. It's short and I've made a few revisions to simplify it a bit. The article questions the Halloween costume choices girls have to choose from as compared to the choices in boys' costumes. The kids need to read this with you (it's okay if you read it to them), respond to a few questions on the back sheet, then have a written conversation (in their Communication Journal) with you about the article. The written conversation should be a time for each of you to discuss what you personally think of the article. This can be completed in one night or broken up into a couple different nights. Whatever works best for your schedule. The article, answers, and written conversation are all due next Tuesday, October 6th.
