There were a number of people who did not complete their homework last week. Please check in with the kids each day to make sure they are logging their reading and getting their work back in to the classroom. Thanks!
MONDAY
1. Read Ch. 17 and 18 in Tiger Rising and track your thinking on a post-it note or two. Bring these back to class with your book for tomorrow's discussion.
2. Complete tonight's written response sheet. The purpose of this sheet is to practice using cursive, complete sentences, capitalization, and periods. These sheets will come home most nights this week and should be returned the following morning. I'm providing the sheet for today.
3. Practice your 2s and 3s flashcards for 5-10 minutes. You don't have to use the actual flashcards. Your parents could also quiz you without them. Remember to have them initial the sheet each night.
TUESDAY
1. Read for at least twenty minutes and complete the reading log.
2. Complete tonight's written response sheet. The purpose of this sheet is to practice using cursive, complete sentences, capitalization, and periods. These sheets will come home most nights this week and should be returned the following morning. You should have grabbed a sheet of blank notebook paper for this. As long as you write five good sentences in cursive, you can write about anything at all. However, if you're stuck try responding to this: The zoo field trip is coming up soon. What are you excited to do or to see at the zoo? Tell me a little bit about this.
3. Practice your 2s and 3s flashcards for 5-10 minutes. You don't have to use the actual flashcards. Your parents could also quiz you without them. Remember to have them initial the sheet each night.
WEDNESDAY
