Yesterday, we played a math game called How Tall, How Many? Mr. Hass told the class how to play. First, you roll the dice. The first time you roll, that tells you what type of strip you use. Either 1,2,3,4,5 or 6 block strips. The second time you roll tells you how many of the strips you use. When you run out of space on a roll, your game is over.
Once Mr. Hass told us how to play, he made pairs to play. Some of us even got 3 people! Marina`s group had 94 blocks covered first and 6 left over. Nadia and her partner did not complete their game. About 20 minutes after we were playing the game, Mr. Hass told us how to collect our score. He used Marina`s clipboard as an example. He wrote 100 - 6 . The class and Mr. Hass figured out the problem together. The sum was 94. Then we went back and continued our games. About 15 minutes after, we went to lunch. Then our math game time was over.
